We believe this is an example of phone number “spoofing” – meaning the phone number appearing on your caller ID is different from that of the telephone that actually placed the call. Typically, these automated calls – or “robocalls” – are made by scam artists who are disguising their true phone number because they are trying to sell products or steal personal information. In this case, the call appears to be coming from a number (704-557-0279) that connects with the AHN call center, otherwise known as (412) DOCTORS. Neither AHN nor Highmark Health is initiating these calls, and we are working to determine their source.
